I am not sure why, though I plan to post my posts every Tuesday and Thursday as most of you might know by now… Somehow something went wrong Tuesday and that meant you got a surprise post yesterday ;)… But hopefully today everything will work well. Since I am sharing with you a little update on the Travel Clutch. Do you recognize it?
It was green wasn’t it?
You might ask yourself… didn’t you make a green travel clutch? Yes, that is correct! Although most times, when I am trying new designs I like to work with leather that I know from previous projects. I know how it will be cut, how it will be sewn and eventually how I can finish it. So before I left for Boston, I already started on a brown version as well. This way, I knew what difficulties I could run into, what I definitely should and definitely shouldn’t do. So, therefore, I already finished this lovely brown version of it.
Locks and chains
I received the locks from my order, in Boston, so I could not finish this brown travel clutch before. But since my last project, the work tote, is done, I had all the time to finally put all the finishing touches on this lovely bag. The locks are inspired by Chloe, about which I wrote a post earlier this year (it’s here if you’ve missed it!). This lock, in combination with those chains, makes it a really bold accessorized little bag! Love it!
Making of – coming up real soon!
Since you might love this bag as much as I do… I will give you all the insights during the ‘making of’-posts of the green version. You’ve seen already the making of the bag chain strap (if not? check this post out). And the first part can be seen in this post but what are your wishes for the upcoming posts? Would you like to see how you attach the locks? Or just how the bag is assembled? I would love to hear from you, and as always questions are welcome. Though either way stay tuned for much and much more leathercraft!!
