In my last post about my trip to Boston, I mentioned that many readers come from all over the world. This and the fact that some of you mentioned it in a message made me think of let’s give you some blogging insight in Florine Leather & Style. If you’ve got a blog of your own you will know you can get a lot of information from WordPress and Google analytics. Not in a creepy way, but just some information bloggers can use in their future blog posts, ideas etcetera.
Where are you from?
Well, this information is apparently linked to your IP address. I can’t see your actual location but I can see the country you are from. I started to write my blog in English not just to practice my English, (still not flawless so sorry for any grammatical errors, but I’ve learned a lot!) but also to try to reach people from over the world. Don’t you think it is wonderful you can get so much information online, but there is just not that much on leathercraft (for ladies)? So everything I learned, researched and tried from a newbie till the level I’m at now is documented on this blog. Everyone from over the world, who are thinking of starting with leather craft can get an idea what you need, can expect and might learn. Well, apparently it is working because I’ve reached people from so many countries. In the images below you see a map of the world the more ‘orange’ or ‘red’ the color is, the more people have visited my blog.
What do you love to read?
Another interesting stat for me is, what you actually love to read. If I look back at 2017, during a whole year many of you just stayed on the home page, but the next most read post is ‘Beginners Guide – How to saddle stitch leather?‘. I get it since it is the very basic technique of hand stitching. Not just in 2017 did you like this post but also in 2018 with just 2 months past, it is the most popular post to read.
The most popular page, besides the home page, of last year was the DIY projects! Whenever I find a new blog with DIYs, it is my favorite page as well. After that one, it’s the Pure leather page and the Projects by Florine. It’s just so awesome to see that you actually like what I’ve written haha.
Do you come back?
I love to meet new people, but I love it even more if you stay. In the next stat, I get insight into who is new and who returns. No worries for everyone who left, since this might just not be the blog you were looking for, nor the kind of information you needed. For everyone who is following this blog, from the beginning or a bit later, welcome to the inner circle ;). I love that you are coming back and am looking forward to getting to know you and/or your leather work! About 1.5 years ago, I started with the blog to communicate with same-minded people and that is still the idea. I like all the different techniques and styles from over the world. And I definitely think that we can learn so much from each other!
With this insight, you know a bit more about Florine Leather & Style. Did you like this type of post as well? As I previously mentioned, I am over the moon about the fact that there are so many of you reading this blog and I am looking forward to the future of Florine Leather and Style!
