If I knew it would look this great and doesn’t take that much time, I would have made this stationery collection much earlier. Every once in a while all it takes it just some courage to put your ideas into products. Therefore I want to present to you, my mini stationery collection. If you have missed the first two parts with the designing and making of, you can find them here (Part I & Part II).
With the years…
As you might know, leather products look more and more beautiful with the years. When you just finished a product it might still look a little bit stiff and the first scratches might hurt. Well, in this case, I have given it about a week before I shoot the after-photos. Just so you could see how it looks after someone have used it, intensely.
The Padfolio
You probably think, what did he do with this padfolio… well if you are a student you carry such products with you, everywhere you go. Besides, but please don’t tell him, it wasn’t the best piece of leather. This time we found it in a little shop, not my usual, a little while ago. The longer you work with leather, the better you will be able to judge the quality of the leather (see the 101 leather guide for example). Maybe once it shows signs of wear, I might make him a new one (or one in brown and black to match his suit or so…). For now, he can’t be happier with it.
The Laptop Case
The laptop case as you can see has also some scratches but that’s what it is for. But I am quite content with the end result, actually the end result of both! But since recently got myself a new laptop (finally!!) I might make one for myself as well. What shall I use as a little logo in the middle? Florine, FL&S or maybe you have some ideas? Whatever I choose, I just love laser cutting anything. It just adds that little extra personal touch to your products.
Which one do you prefer for the mini stationery collection, the leather monogram personalised laptop case or the luxury leather padfolio? I’m not sure yet… Love to hear from you.
