Unbelievable, the Fashions weeks are already over. That means it is time to find the Autumn-Winter trends of 2017. But not only new trends came down the runway, I have also spotted some already familiar trends! So don’t worry, those mini, maxi and circle bags aren’t over yet. Luckily for me because I was just about to design my own circle bag (maybe even a DIY if you like!).
These trends will stay in the Autumn-Winter collections
As said above, not all trends will disappear once the leaves turn brown and the summer is over. The mini bags, the circle bags and even some Maxi bags were spotted on the runway. Although some did get a new look… Check out my Pinterest page for some new inspiration or my last post about theMINI and MAXI bag. But not only these trends continue also the waist bags might turn into a classic. Let’s wait and see but for now, these trends will still be totally amazing for your Autumn and Winter collection
New trends Spotted
- The Combi bag: Not one, not two but wear your three favourite bags at the same time. We have seen it all during the Gucci and Fendi show. If you have collected all kinds of mini bags this will be the perfect trend for you!
- The (Exotic) animal bag: If you just can’t get enough of my crocodile clutch or sketchbook cover, then this trend is made for you. All different types of animal leather are seen on the runways. But they didn’t just stick to one type of exotic animal leather, no you will be able to wear them all at once. Combine your favourites, like snake, crocodile, lizard and even sheep fur.
- The box bag: No, this bag isn’t made for boxing but looks more like treasure boxes to lunch boxes. Ideal to practice your ‘box stitching’ as I did during the making of the watch box. Maybe I should make one for myself and add some handles to turn it into a bag.
- The not-so-simple-bag: I found it difficult to give it a name because the whole minimalistic look seems to be extinguished from the runways. Instead, I have seen lots and lots of patterns, drawings and creative quiltings of leather. It looks like all designers had so much inspiration they just created a whole collection of not-so-simple beauties for the fall.
