It is almost the end of 2016 and that makes this the last post of this year. Time for some flashbacks to all the accomplishment and things we have learned during the past 364 days.
At the moment of writing, 1,5 years have passed since I started leathercraft. Gosh, I have made already quite a few projects (NOT ALL BLOG PROOF) though it might give you some inspiration. Most of them I have given as a present or failed (and could not be given away). But you have to learn from your mistakes, don’t you think?
- Black wallet (from an old bag)
- Brown wallet
- Business card holder (where my cards didn’t fit in)
- iPad case
- Bag for myself
- Bag for my sister
- Phone case
- Pen case
- Make-up bag
- Bucket bag (also for myself)
- Christmas bag (and another one for myself :))
I might even forget some, and maybe I will make some posts or DIY’s about the making of. Are there maybe some projects on the list you would like to see, learn or make?
Florine Leather and Style
Beside all projects listed above, this year I have started an even bigger project: the blog Florine Leather and Style.
This year I had the chance to start this blog and share my knowledge about leathercraft and style. Not a newbie anymore (in my opinion haha) but certainly also not a professional (yet). Starting this blog inspired me to do research, try new things and then I also had to be able to explain it to you, ladies.
I have learned to judge the quality of leather a little bit better. No more plastic or fake leather for me. I have also become a little spoiled. The more affordable bags in the shops aren’t my taste anymore (because I can either make them myself for less money or upgrade them with more beautiful leather for the same price) and the expensive well-made bags are the only ones I want to buy (but don’t have the money for). Let’s hope I will get better and better in leathercraft so I will be able to make those beautiful well-made bags one day.
Last but not least, I continued with photography for the blog, a hobby I otherwise might have forgotten. Though this might be a big point in my new years’ resolutions…. I think I should start to think about these….
Happy New Year
So while I think about my new years’ resolution, I am curious about yours. Let me know what you want to learn, see and do next year and maybe we can help each other. I wish you all a very Happy New Year!!
