Since Christmas is this early in the holiday period. I almost didn’t have the time to make all my Christmas presents! Luckily this was my secret Santa project (my Christmas bag), totally and only for myself…. You have to treat yourself so once in a while don’t you think?
Christmas Crocodile bag
As you follow me for a while now you can get the idea of me putting new challenges for myself in each project. This time it was depth and a little hint of exoticness. Because I found a lovely cow-leather black shiny crocodile!!! And it just had to be my Christmas and new year bag.
My Christmas this year will be like …
My Christmas and new year exist overall of eating, sleeping, more eating, more sleeping and just chilling with my family and partying with my friends. Concluding I don’t really need to carry that much with me. So the perfect time to make a clutch, take some almost no time to make and looks amazing!
“The making of”
Below I will tell you some of the steps of the making of the Christmas Crocodile bag.

1. First look for the most beautiful shiny skin you can get. It’s Christmas after all.

2. Cut your piece and look for a matching zipper (mine was a little bit long)

3. Finish all edges properly, this time I skived the edges thin and folded all sides over.

3. Don’t forget to cut little squares for the beginning and end of the zipper (and also finish these edges)

5. Punch the stitching holes in the leather and glue it to the zipper.

7. Fold the bag inside-out to sew the last edges (these will be blind edges) but don’t forget to leave the zipper open so you can still turn it inside-out when your done.
Last minute Christmas bag inspiration
You may have followed me on my Instagram and have seen already a sneak preview of the making of the bag but I finished it just in time for Christmas. I will soon post an image how the final result looked during Christmas.
What will be your Christmas bag? I have made a Pinterest board, especially for this event. So if you still need some inspiration, take a look and make it very quickly (or buy it if you have some money left from all your Christmas shopping) or look at Santa really sweet with big (blue) eyes.
